Access has won a two-way pitch to develop a new website and branding materials for leading rope manufacturer, Cortland.
Part of the Actuant Corporation, Cortland supplies innovative ropes, slings, cables and umbilicals to customers in the oil and gas, heavy marine, subsea, ROV, seismic, defense and medical markets worldwide.
Cortland’s brief was to bring together four subsidiaries - Cortland Cable, Cortland Fibron BX Limited, Cortland Puget Sound Rope and Cortland Selantic – under one brand umbrella through the creation of a new website and support materials.
Access conducted a detailed analysis of the existing site before making their recommendations for improving functionality and design. The agency was able to draw on their previous experience with sister company Hydratight to pass on considerable cost and time savings to the client.
Built on the same platform, but with new copywriting and design, the new site will successfully unite the Cortland Companies and help Cortland to become more visible as a global market leader.
While the creation of the new site is underway, Access is taking on a supporting role, offering additional creative services, such as branding, brochures and advertising, as and when required.
Melissa Suring, Marketing Communications Leader at Cortland commented, “We needed a supplier who could work as part of our team – one that could work quickly, understand our product portfolio, our team dynamics and our vision. I’m glad to say that we chose well – we have formed an excellent working relationship with Access, so much so that I have already recommended them internally for future projects from within our corporation”.
Simon Landi, Managing Director of Access, added, “This is not the first time we’ve have helped a global manufacturing client to embrace the digital age. Cortland is a welcome addition to our growing b2b portfolio and we’re looking forward to helping more b2b clients transform their web presence in the future.”
