Access Advertising is fast carving out a reputation as the destination marketing agency of choice in the North West after signing the contact this month to become the retained advertising agency for Visit Peak District & Derbyshire (VPDD).
Access won the account to promote the destination as a short break haven for the next twelve months following a four-way pitch.
In a unique development, Access Advertising will act as the principal contact in this tender, managing the entire project, but in order to achieve the most cost effective and appropriate media solution for Visit Peak District & Derbyshire (VPDD), the agency has partnered with the Government's Central Office of Information (the COI) to plan and buy the media.
These wins further cement Access's credentials as specialists in the tourism marketing sector. VPDD join a host of clients in this sector including The Mersey Partnership, Visit Chester and Cheshire, The Museum of Science and Industry and Isle of Man based Steam Packet Company to name just a few.
Simon Landi, Managing Director of Access comments on the win: "The Peak District is a particularly stunning part of our countryside and for Access to be tasked with promoting its natural beauty, events and attractions to the British public is a great honour and one we are passionate about."
According to David Bourque, Head of Marketing for VPDD: "The agencies all had to undergo a rigorous tendering process, but I am very pleased to say Access were successful with their pitch. Working with Access going forward into 2008 will allow us to build on the exceptional work which was produced this year, and due to their unique relationship with COI, VPDD will have the best of both worlds; continuity of our creative offering, coupled with powerful data analysis tools which allow us to make informed media buying decisions."
