Marketing Cheshire

Manchester-based creative agency Access has been chosen to develop a new corporate identity for Marketing Cheshire, a new business model with responsibility for place marketing in the region.

Created through an amalgamation of Cheshire and Warrington Enterprise Partnership (CWEP), three local authorities and a number of key private sector organisations, Marketing Cheshire aims to attract people looking to invest, visit, work or live in the region.

Retained by Visit Chester and Cheshire (the tourist board now amalgamated into Marketing Cheshire) since 2004, Access was chosen for their in-depth knowledge of place marketing (both visitor economy and business tourism) in the region and their successful campaigns increasing footfall to local visitor attractions.

The Marketing Cheshire branding in useAs brand guardians for the region, Access are well placed to ensure the new brand is instrumental in driving the region forward but doesn’t undo the fantastic level of buy in the members of the tourist board have achieved with the Visit Chester and Cheshire brand to date. The new design has already been used successfully to promote Celebrate Cheshire, an inaugural event marketing the region to inward investors.

Access account director, Ruth Nelson, commented: “We’ve worked with Visit Chester and Cheshire for many years, so to continue to be chosen as the agency to help move the brand forward has been a great privilege. Our creative team has created a fresh, modern and flexible design that perfectly positions the facets of the region.”
