Salford Community Leisure Website Launched

Access has recently completed work on a new website and branding initiative for Salford Community Leisure.

The website, which is fully ‘responsive’, is capable of ascertaining how users are gaining access to the site, whether this is through a mobile phone, tablet, desktop or other device.

This allows the site to automatically display the content in the most relevant size for the user’s device, without limiting the available content, as with many mobile and tablet specific sites.

The Salford Community Leisure website provides a one-stop shop for people wishing to find out about a wide range of services, ranging from gyms and swimming pools to museums and art galleries. As such it is important that the full range of content is available no matter how people need to access it, whether on the move or at home.

Mark Hope, Digital Director at Access said: “This is the first time that we have launched a fully responsive site, and we think the result speaks for itself.

“Mobile device access is becoming an increasingly important aspect for people to consider when designing and building websites.

“People no longer only access web content through the traditional desktop or notebook, and we’re pleased to be at the forefront in creating websites that recognise this.”

Lynne Harrop, Head of Business Development at Salford Community Leisure added: “We wanted branding and a website that would reflect the modern organisation that SCL is. By incorporating the responsive technology we are delighted with the results that Access have achieved, and think that the site gives users a great first impression of SCL.”
