UNO website

Manchester-based creative agency Access has won the tender to deliver an online business networking forum for Denbighshire County Council as part of the Rural Development Project for North Wales.

The project for the council, on behalf of the Rural Denbighshire Social Enterprise Group, is part of a larger project entitled ‘UNO’ meaning ‘to join’ in Welsh. UNO aims to develop ‘clusters’ of micro businesses within Denbighshire, based on the belief that by working together, these clusters will be able to market themselves more effectively than on an individual basis. Access’ brief is to create a brand identity which conveys the key messages of the organisation. And following this to design and build an online business forum aimed at the five clusters and other rural micro-businesses within the region with a view to attracting them to the scheme. The site will provide these businesses with a toolkit to share information, pool resources and network with like-minded business.

The website, which will be delivered in both English and Welsh, will include an online business forum tool with a secure log in to allow users to communicate openly and share knowledge. Members will also be able to post information on bulletin boards and communicate with each other in the online forum. The website will be powered by a content management system (CMS) allowing non-technical editors to create and publish content, and includes a quarterly enewsletter aimed at keeping all users up to date on the latest activities.

Mark Hope, Digital Director at Access comments: “Over the past few years we’ve seen our digital business expand significantly, with both long-standing and new clients allocating increasing amounts of their marketing spend to online. We’re very pleased to be working with Denbighshire County Council in a sector we are already very strong in.”
